TRANSITION YOUR SKIN-CARE ROUTINE FROM WINTER TO SPRING

After months of changing season, on paper, we are in Spring; although it was spring yesterday, winter today and tomorrow who knows.

Hope is on the horizon and that hope is Spring.

Winter is about to say goodbye and with that skin that has been cocooned and layered in oils, balms, serums, moisturisers to protect dry, dehydrated and itchy skin is coming to a close.  So let's get prepping for healthier luminous skin before summer comes knocking.

Where do I start?

Cleanse away the Winter blues with AHA cleansers that will double up as an exfoliator, best to avoid harsh scrubs as they can make your skin sensitive.

Try Image Ageless cleanser.

Next step hydrate.

Opt for lighter moisturisers and ease off on thick oils. Light oils or water-based serums will help with a dewy look without clogging the skin.

Try Environ Hyaluronic Acid or Image Overnight Hydrating Mask.

The most important layer.

An SPF 15 is fine in winter but as the sun becomes more friendly increase to SPF 30. This will protect from brighter sunlight and pollution.

Try Image Prevention with SPF 30.

Book a consultation with one of our experts to be sure that you get the best products for your type of skin.

If this is your first time at Oslo, it's important you add this on when booking an appointment for facials or peels. The consultation allows time for the skin therapists to get to know you and your skin so that the correct treatment is carried out and to answer any questions you may have.

Our consultations are with trained and qualified skin therapists and are free when booked with a facial treatment.

SPRING TIPS:

°Spring clean your beauty cupboard, out with the old opened products over 6 months old straight to the bin.  Bacteria can build up and cause multiple issues.

°Get an expert to advise and invest in quality products for your skin type.

°Don't forget your makeup brushes, they harbour bacteria so cleanse at least twice a week with regular washing up liquid or baby shampoo is fine.

° Tinted moisturiser is a great substitute instead of heavy layered foundation, the skin wants to breathe and let that happen. Try mixing Vita Liberata face blue with an SPF.

Simple changes can have a huge impact on the overall health of the skin.
