Dermaroller & Dermapen Needling Aftercare

Dermaroller
A manual roller with fine needles that create micro-wounds in the skin, stimulating cell regeneration and collagen production.

Dermapen
An electric device with a disposable needle tip that moves in and out of the skin. The depth can be adjusted for precision and intensity, allowing for a more tailored treatment.

Pre-Treatment Advice:
One Week Before Treatment:
Do not shave, wax, or exfoliate the skin
Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds, or heat treatments
Discontinue use of vitamin A, retinol, and prescribed skincare

Three Days Before Treatment:
Avoid any skincare products containing AHA (glycolic, lactic) or BHA (salicylic)

Day of Treatment:
Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup

Post-Treatment Advice (Days 1-7):
Directly after your microneedling treatment your skin may look and feel warm as if you have a moderate sunburn. This will begin to fade over the coming hours. Over the next few days, you might experience slight redness, itchiness, dryness, swelling, blotchiness, track marks, tenderness, bruising, and mild shedding.

- Apply Soothing Repair Post-Cream
- Use sun protection and reapply every two hours
- Avoid active skincare products (retinol, acids, or exfoliants)
- Do not undergo any other facial treatments or waxing
- Avoid swimming and excessive sweating
- Stay out of direct sun exposure, sunbeds, and heat treatments

 


Semi-Permanent Makeup: Brows Aftercare

After care is an extremely important part of the Semi-permanent tattoo treatment. After care during the healing process usually lasts up to 2 weeks. At first the area treated will probably be swollen and they will appear darker than desired. 

Day 1
30 minutes after treatment it is necessary to clean the treated area with a Ph-neutral soap. When first cleaning your eyebrows after treatment, make sure to remove any remaining pigment, colored lymph and any cream that was previously applied. 

Apply a small amount of foam and gently rub it into the eyebrows using circular motions. Be sure to clean the skin between your natural hairs thoroughly. Remove the foam using a damp cotton pad, and dry the brows by gently dabbing the region with a dry cotton pad. Once your brows are dry, apply a thin layer of Vaseline.

Repeat this process 3 to 5 times throughout the first day.

Days 2 to 5
During this period, you cannot wet your brows anymore, It is also necessary to avoid the following:
- Applying any other creams other than the recommended balms, Avoid applying makeup (powder or BB cream) in the eyebrow regio.
- Exercise which causes the skin to perspire
- Saunas
- Tanning beds
- Facial massages

Semi-Permanent Makeup: Lips Aftercare

After care is an extremely important part of the Semi-permanent tattoo treatment. After care during the healing process usually lasts up to 2 weeks. At first the area treated will probably be swollen and they will appear darker than desired. 

- If you have ever had chicken pox, a fever blister or a cold sore, you must take Zovirax, Famvir, Valtrex or other anti-viral, pre and post procedure to prevent the outbreak of cold sores. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you do have an outbreak, it will usually occur on the third day after application as well as after each touch up.
- Do not eat citrus fruits and juices, greasy, salty, oily or spicy foods until your lips are completely healed.
- While eating, do not constantly wipe your lips with a napkin or keep licking your lips as this will impede the healing process.
- Be careful when brushing your teeth. Toothpaste may pull the pigment out of the lip vermillion. Also, do not bleach your teeth while your lips are healing.
- Using products with Lidocaine in them will help to soothe the ‘chapped’ feeling.
- Keep lips well lubricated for at least two weeks post procedure. (Vaseline is a good choice)
- After the initial healing period, apply a total sun block which is waterproof 3-4 times daily to prevent fading. (You may also use Vaseline or Chapstick)
- No smoking while lips are healing!

Semi-Permanent Makeup: Eyeliner Aftercare

After care is an extremely important part of the Semi-permanent tattoo treatment. After care during the healing process usually lasts up to 2 weeks. At first the area treated will probably be swollen and they will appear darker than desired. 

- Do not use mascara for seven days post procedure. When you do resume the use of mascara, purchase a new one as the old one may have bacteria in it.
- Do not use your eyelash curler for a few days post procedure. Clean your eyelash curler with alcohol prior to reusing it to destroy any bacteria on it.
- Do not wear contacts for 24 hours post procedure, wear glasses.
- Do not scratch or rub your eyes. Use an eye wash if the eyes itch.
